Boarding Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms carefully before boarding your cat(s):
- A current and up-to-date vaccination certificate must be produced upon arrival, or your cat(s) will not be accepted.
- The certificate must prove protection against feline Influenza (Cat Flu) and Infectious enteritis.
- If you have forgotten your vaccination card, we will phone your vet to confirm the vaccinations – this may incur a charge.
- While cats are boarding at Gordon May's Purrrfect Cattery, you can expect excellent care and attention.
- However, they are boarded entirely at the owner's risk.
- Should your cat become ill during boarding, we will contact your veterinary surgeon and act upon their advice.
- Any expenses incurred due to veterinary treatment for your cat will be your responsibility.
- Please note that our veterinary insurance covers only incidents arising entirely from the cattery and does not include ongoing treatment or pre-existing conditions.
- Any cat suffering from, or suspected of having, an infectious disease cannot be accepted.
- All cats will be examined on arrival, and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health.
- If any cat is found to have an infestation of fleas or worms, we will treat the cat at the owner's expense.

Payment and Cancellations
- Daily rate payment is cash only.
- One cat – £10.
- Two cats – £17.
- Three cats – £23.
- Four cats – £29.
- The booking will be confirmed when the Booking Contract Form has been fully completed.
- Please note that bookings require a small (non-refundable) deposit to secure.
- A full day's board is charged for both the day of arrival and the day of departure to allow for essential disinfection and lodge preparation.
- Delivery and collection of your cat(s) outside normal hours must be prearranged and may be subject to an extra charge.
- Failure to collect a boarder within 14 days of the stated departure date, with no contact from the owner or responsible party, will result in us disposing of the cat(s) appropriately.
- We regret that male cats over the age of seven months, which have not been neutered, cannot be accepted for boarding.
- For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept bedding brought with your cat(s); bedding will be provided.
- We provide a wide range of cat foods – please specify your preference. (Vet-prescribed dietary food must be provided by the owner.)
- Cats must be fully vaccinated. Ensure that all vaccinations are completed at least two weeks prior to arrival, or boarding will be refused.
- In the event of any cat becoming unwell, it will be transferred to the quarantine bay as a precaution. Only veterinary treatment will be charged, and all boarding fees and expenses must be paid in advance or prior to departure.
- If boarding fees are not paid within a reasonable period, the cat(s) will be considered abandoned.
- If you need to cancel, the full amount for the entire period will be charged.
- Gordon Mays reserves the right to refuse to board any cat that is not suitable for boarding. If your cat is to be collected by someone else, we must be notified.
